When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide in the message field; the area of interest you select; optionally, how you heard about us; and the date, time, and IP address of your submission (collected automatically by our form processor). We do not currently use cookies or web analytics on this site beyond what is necessary for the contact form to function.
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your inquiry and to evaluate whether we may be able to assist you with your legal matter. We do not sell or rent your information. We do not use it for marketing communications unless you separately consent.
We use Formspree to receive and route contact form submissions. Formspree acts as a service provider and is bound to use the information only to provide its service to us. Formspree’s privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Information you send through this website is not protected by the attorney-client privilege unless and until you sign a written representation agreement with the firm. Please do not include sensitive or confidential information in your initial contact. If such information is needed to evaluate your matter, we will request it through a more secure channel after initial discussion.
We retain contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, evaluate potential representation, and comply with applicable record-retention obligations. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing gilbert@gwmearslaw.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion of that information, and opt out of certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email gilbert@gwmearslaw.com. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of third parties (if any) with which we shared it. We do not sell personal information.
This website is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
